About the Event
Ayurveda can be translated at “The Science of Life” and is considered to be the oldest healing science as well as the sister science of yoga. Ayurveda teaches us that every body is unique, that wellness should be approached from looking at the whole (whole body as well as the mind and spirit), and that health and wellness depend on balance within the body, mind, and spirit.
When we begin to understand our unique constitutions and the unique constitution of external elements (like seasons, moon cycles, times of day, etc), we can more easily see where we might be vulnerable to an imbalance. Having this foresight allows us to take steps ahead of time to prevent the imbalance instead of racing to react once it has occurred. Thus keeping us more in a state of wellbeing and more in tune with ourselves and nature. And that is a powerful place to be.
Join Megan Hively in this introductory exploration of Ayurveda, including valuable information on how to integrate the teachings for optimal wellness and inner & outer balance in the Fall season. Cost is $35
