Morning Stretch and Refresh Yoga To Start Your Day - April 29th

It’s a mid-week stretch and refresh! You know, some mornings you just wake up wanting to move and open up. For me, that was this morning. So, grab a couple of blocks (or block replacements - sturdy books, mason jars, soup cans, etc) and join me for this 20 minute refreshing stretch practice! Oh! And a heads up that Friday is going to be a special yoga session where we start with a focus on eye stretches! If you have been feeling the eye strain from more phone/computer use, this practice could bring you some relief. As the uncertainty of the times continue, a consistent daily practice is going to become more and more important to help us keep in balance. What we do especially first thing in the morning can guide what kind of day we have and how prepared we are for surprises that arise. To help start your day in a more centered way, please join us for a 20 minute grounding practice of movement and breath work. Hand To Heart Regulating Yoga To Start Your Day - Friday, April 24th

Today's practice begins with a self regulating practice I learned through Katie Silcox of the Shakti School of Ayurveda. It has been a beautiful heart connecting practice for me and I hope you find it just as comforting. The moon is starting to crescent now, which means it is time to get those intentions set for this moon cycle! Lots of love, Megan As the uncertainty of the times continue, a consistent daily practice is going to become more and more important to help us keep in balance. New Moon Yoga To Start Your Day - Wednesday, April 22nd

New Moon Yoga To Start Your Day - Wednesday, April 22nd

The Moon goes totally Dark tonight around 10:26 pm. This phase of the moon is a time of pause, of reflection, of being and not doing. The Dark Moon's archetype is the Crone. You know, the one who has been through all the seasons and has learned so much along the way. There is nothing to prove here. Nothing to do, but to be silent and check in. This morning's practice is a very meditative, reflective practice. We begin in constructive rest heading towards deep relaxation. Then just some subtle movements to settle us into a meditation to connect to your inner wisdom. As the uncertainty of the times continue, a consistent daily practice is going to become more and more important to help us keep in balance. What we do especially first thing in the morning can guide what kind of day we have and how prepared we are for surprises that arise. Balancing Breath Yoga To Start Your Day - Friday, April 17th

This morning is about balancing out the nervous system through some Alternate nostril breathing! 👃🏽 It works by evening out the energy flow in the channels of our yin/yang (or sun/moon or feminine/masculine or Purusha/Prakriti or Shiva/Shakti or... you get the picture! ☺️) Not comfortable touching your face right now? I get it! This breath can be done by visualizing the breath traveling through the nostrils. Woop woop! As the uncertainty of the times continue, a consistent daily practice is going to become more and more important to help us keep in balance. 3rd Quarter Moon Yoga To Start Your Day - Wednesday, April 15th

Last evening was the 3rd Quarter Moon! This energy is like "Fall" and can be thought of as the time to harvest what you've been manifesting over the moon cycle. It is also a time to start turning inward preparing for next week's New Moon! I've also read that the archetype related to this phase is the Wild Woman, which I LOVE SO MUCH!! Let your hair down, let your body move how it wants, and not give any fs this morning. ;) As the uncertainty of the times continue, a consistent daily practice is going to become more and more important to help us keep in balance. Apana Vayu (downward energy) Yoga To Start Your Day - Mo(o)nday, April 13th

Is everyone safe after the storms? Yikes! I’d like to say that Sadie The Pit Bull curled up next to me so she would feel safe, but it may have been the other way around. 😂 • Ok, quick Ayurveda lesson: there are 5 ways in which energy moves in the body: Prana (intake), Apana (downward, elimination), Vyana (circulation), Udana (upward), and Samana (contractive, churning). • When we take in too much Prana (either through what we bring in with our senses, through experiences, what we breathe in, etc etc) and our bodies aren’t able to digest, we may feel the effects as anxiety, inability to focus, racing thoughts, etc. ## • This morning’s practice uses the Apana vayu to help balance out any excess prana by focusing on the downward, outward elimination of excess energy. It is a very grounding 20 minutes (99% of the class is on the sit bones!). • If you need to settle some energy, take 20 minutes and check it out! Link in bio (under Replays). Xoxoxoxoxoxoxo! Energizing Practice to Start Your Day - Friday April 10th

We had the Full Pink Moon on Tuesday night which means there have been a few somewhat restless nights this week! For me, it is usually the few days leading up to a full moon that are restless, but this Super Moon has brought nights of very vivid dreams and I'm not feeling totally rested. All that to say, that I needed an energizing practice to start this Friday morning and hope you find it as refreshing as I did! :) As the uncertainty of the times continue, a consistent daily practice is going to become more and more important to help us keep in balance.
